In the wake of the financial crisis in the late-noughties, I found myself out of a job more than in a job since I’d moved back to Wales in 2007. By 2013 I decided to take control of the situation and work for myself. My destiny was now in my hands. But what to do and how?

Away for a long weekend in Barcelona, I stumbled across a shop called Tiger. Within a few hours I had made contact with the parent company to find out what I needed to do to bring the brand to Wales.

Seven years, 8 shops, +£5million turnover per year, and +120 team members later, having sold our stake back to the parent company at the end of 2018, I now have the library of experiences and network to be able to do it again, and support others who want to do it too. 

I use my skills to provide entrepreneur support, mentoring and add value to businesses in start-up and scale-up phase, working with leaders to focus the team on strategy, structure, process, culture and more, allowing them to build the foundations they need to grow sustainably.

The voice of reason, the critical friend, the ‘get it done’ exec, I roll my sleeves up and handle the complexities of the business, so that the core team can concentrate on delivering their vision.

I also have experience as a Non-Executive Director, Advisory Boards and Chair experience in the Financial Services, Consumer Goods, Creative and Social Enterprise sectors, as well as mentoring and programme management in the tech sector.

My ability to provide clarity to complex challenges, through my holistic approach is invaluable to any business, and I get no better satisfaction than seeing businesses flourish and succeed.
